Early last year when I started exercising regularly again, I tried a class at a nearby barre studio. Several people I knew at work went there regularly and loved it.
I hated it and left ready to puke in the parking lot. The beginner class was not beginner enough for me!
I’ve been on their mailing list ever since and this week got an offer I can’t refuse. They have a new gentle class that is “ideal for those looking for a softer, more nurturing, slower paced, relaxing barre experience.” To top it off they’re offering free classes for the next two weekends so I’ll be trying it on Sunday.
Weekly Workouts
It’s time to report what I’ve been doing the past two weeks in terms of fitness. My pledge is to be accountable (#Justtrollin).

As you can tell, the first week was horrid. After returning from BlogHer, I was tired and let get in the way of my exercise goals. The bright spot was the two longer walks on the weekends. Look for a better report in two weeks!
How was your workout week?

I haven’t tried Barre, but there are just some classes that don’t work for everyone. I’ve gone to a yoga class and just wasn’t into it. Great job on your long walks on the weekends!

Sharon, I used to love yoga and just don’t prefer it anymore. My favorite group classes is reformer pilates. I love it!

Lots of ladies in my group love the barre class. I’m not the biggest fan either-guess it’s not for everyone. Hoping to have a better week next week myself

Deborah, glad to know it’s not just me. I hope this new class is more my style.
