What Do I have in Common with a Convenience Store? #DigestDiet

KayLynn · September 25, 2012 · Leave a Comment

The first meal I made on the Digest Diet was a shake and it took me quite a while to get it whipped up.  Now, I have all the ingredients measured and liquefied into a tasty drink in no time and the shake has become one of my favorite breakfast meals.

Progress report

I’m running around the house singing 7-11 and it has nothing to do with the convenience store. After 11 days, I’m thrilled to report I’m down 7 lbs!  It means one less notch on the doctor’s scale.

Last night I was trying to remember if I’ve ever eaten as healthy as I am now.  I’ve tried a  lot of diet plans over the years and sometimes did very well.  But I wasn’t cutting out so much white food: breads, potatoes and sugar.

It’s been easier than I imagined and I plan to continue eating less of all once I’ve completed the 21-day cycle.  I don’t miss bread but I am looking forward to potatoes in my future.

Enjoying the Food

Even if I wasn’t losing weight I’d be happy because I’m getting so many great meal ideas.  My favorite lunch the past few days was this tasty, beautiful Chicken cabbage salad.  Dinners have been just as good.

A couple of nights ago we had flank steak and to be honest I was I was skeptical that the flank steak wouldn’t satisfy like our usual t-bone or sirloin steak.  Let me say on the record that I was wrong.  It was delicious!

Look at this delicious (and inventive) breakfast I whipped up today.  The bell pepper is stuffed with arugula, lean deli turkey breast, reduced fat cheese and an egg.  The snacks are more interesting than the same old yogurt with fruit I took to work every day for the past year.  They’re also just as tasty if not more so.

Let me know if  you have any questions about the Digest Diet.  What changes are you making on your journey to health?
