The BoomBox Network and B(l)oomers Party

KayLynn · September 23, 2012 · 8 Comments

This article was originally published at Two Savvy Sisters which is no longer active.

You know you’re at a different kind of party when the cocktail napkins talk about colonoscopies.  Yet it was perfect for the party-goers.  I took the picture at the B(l)oomers Party in New York City last month hosted by the BoomBox Network.

This was probably my favorite event during our trip to BlogHer.  I can always tell how much I enjoyed an event by the number of pictures I took.  We were too busy talking and chatting with others from our generation for me to get any photos with people actually in them!

Best of all, there were brands there that specifically wanted to interact with us!  In the BlogHer expo hall I could tell some of the exhibitors weren’t interested in learning about my blog and how we could work together by taking one look at my not-so-young face.

Not only did we get to try the Demeter scents but I recently received my two favorite scents in the mail including Cinnamon Bun.  Plus their CEO is happy to interact with bloggers via Twitter.

I’m still going through the wonderful swag bag filled with information and products from the sponsors.  I loved the thoughts and designs from NDY which is short for “not done yet” capturing the mantra of boomers everywhere.

We met other mid-life bloggers who are such talented writers with so much to say including Chloe , Mimi and Sharon.  It was great to fun into friends from past conferences including Donna, Chryssa and Mandy.  We met many more wonderful boomers but I know they’ll understand my memory ain’t quite what it used to be.

Thanks to the wonderful ladies that run the BoomBox Network for a fantastic evening and the start of relationships I hope will continue to grow.  We’ll be looking forward to the next party event!

It was a great party. And it was terrific to meet you and your sister and the other siblings and hear about your wonderful mother. I’m so glad that we have continued to get to know each other since then.
