Where did February go? Granted I was gone for a third of the month and it is the shortest month of the year… I guess that answers my question. 😉
It’s been very busy around here but we’ve been enjoying time with family that traveled here for the funeral. Here’s what else is on my mind as we say good-bye to the month of love, heart health and dental health.
Blogging Conference
Today I’m off to attend Women Get Social, a blogging conference put on by The SITS Girls. It’s my third conference with them. I attended Bloggy Boot Camp in San Diego a few years ago and then in Las Vegas. In the video below, you can see me at about the 10 second mark.
The schedule is jam-packed with great content. Best of all, I’ll be spending time with Denise.
Acupuncture
One of the things on my schedule this week this week was having my first acupuncture session. When Acupuncture Express contacted me about trying their services for weight loss, curiosity won out.
I’ll be sharing more with you after my second session in a couple of weeks. They are providing services for free in exchange for my honest thoughts in a future post. You can learn more about this company HERE.
Cars, Cars, Cars
My father-in-law had my husband on the title of one of his cars so we now have a Santa Fe Hyundai. We’ve been holding off on replacing a car because we knew it would be ours soon enough.
What we didn’t know is that it would have repair needs that can’t be put off. My husband rolled down his window and it won’t come backup and we’re having our biggest rain of the winter this weekend! Plus, the brakes grind and the battery seems to be weak.
The older car has transmission problems and we no longer take it on the freeways. With two cars my husband can’t really go very far!
It’s been frustrating as we juggled our schedules so I could get to my obligations (work, etc.) and he could do thing with his daughter before she leaves tomorrow.
San Diego Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon
I registered for the San Diego Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon! I haven’t walked a half marathon in ten years but I’m looking forward to it on June 1st! The training scheduled kicked off last Saturday and I’m on track still after one week.
Charger Update
Charger’s surgery went well on Tuesday. The entire cyst was removed and we’ll get the pathology results early next week. What surprised us was the length of the incision. It’s about seven inches long. Charger is wearing this lovely t-shirt to keep him from scratching it.
He’s such a good dog and has been taking his medication easily. We’re hoping the results come back negative and Charger will heal quickly!
That’s what’s been going on around here. What’s happening with you?
