Carnival Triumph Day 10: Sea Day

KayLynn · March 29, 2016 · Leave a Comment

The weather changed overnight as we got closer to Texas.  It was much cooler and this reinforced the message from our luggage tags… our vacation is ending soon.

After morning coffee, we relaxed until it was time for our Breakfast with Seuss.  I’ll detail that in a separate post but let’s just say it was well worth the $5 charge and we enjoyed it thoroughly even though we had no kids with us.

I’m pretty sure we packed the rest of the morning then hit the lido and Blue Iguana Cantina for lunch.

carnitas-tacos

I loved the carnitas tacos and had two.

In addition to the cooler air the water was rougher and filled with tankers and oil rigs.  It was my first time sailing in/out of a gulf coast port and I found it fascinating.

We did go to guest services at some point to get earlier luggage tags since I had an early flight. Our new meeting place was the London dining room which is where the Platinum and self-debark passengers waited.

Before dinner we went by the Taste Bar.

I didn’t care for the sweet potato but the soup was good.  T and I also had cocktails in the Venezia lounge.  It was a good mojito!

Then it was time for our last dinner aboard.

11-13-15appetizers

I started with baked onion soup.

Followed by the tomato and chopped salad.

Now on to the entrees.

I had the ricotta ravioli…

Sister T selected the Tiger Shrimp Creole.

We both ordered dessert.  Sister T had the baked apple.

I ordered the pie of the day which was called Mud Pie.  It didn’t have ice cream in it but it was very tasty.

That was one heavy dessert.  I headed out to the comedy club for two family friend comedians: Tom Foss and Jason Andors.  I found the first one funnier.

Then it was to the Alchemy Bar for my last cocktail until my next Carnival ship.

This is one of my favorites on the menu.  Our last towel animal wasn’t an animal but it was very appropriate.

heart-towel

Our hearts were full from the vacation and heavy for having to say good bye soon.  We put out bags out after changing into our pjs and tried to sleep before our upcoming travel day.
