Weekly Chronicles: Remembrance Edition

KayLynn · April 14, 2013 · 4 Comments

momandkaylynn

Yesterday was the one year anniversary of my mom’s passing.  In some ways it seems so long ago and at other times the pain of her loss is raw and overwhelming.  Losing grandparents and even my dad didn’t fully prepare me for this loss.

We spent the day remembering this woman who inspired so much love and taught us how to be the parents and grandparents we are today.  She is missed (and yes that’s me in the photo with her).

 Around the Web

Here are some of my favorite articles this week.

Better After 50 shares a immunity boosting smoothie recipe that includes dandelion greens.  It sounds interesting but I’m a little leery.

I’m ready to try the massage ball of torture recommended by A Merry Life. I have tight  leg muscles (calves, hamstrings, IT band, etc.).’

The Lean Green Bean has a enchilada casserole crockpot recipe that sounds delish!  I hope to try it soon.

Learn how to care for your teeth and gums as well as what to look for in this informative series at Plunged in Debt who is a dental professional.

Get Busy Living shows how to make salads in a jar.  Neat idea!

It’s asparagus season and Family Balance Sheet has 20 ways to cook it.

Money Beagle asks when is enough enough when it comes to pet costs.  I think he making very reasonable decisions.

Thanks to Mo’ Money Mo’ Houses for including my post in the Lifestyle Carnival 49th Edition.  There are lots of good articles in a variety of categories.

Giveaways

I love that picture of you and your mom. I’m sure that the loss is something that you will never get “used to”. 🙂

You always assemble a great list of articles and giveaways!
