Since the carnival didn’t pan out, I’m bringing back this weekly post which features my favorite articles and giveaways from around the web.
I’ve been having pain with one of my molars for a few weeks but it has gotten to the point I can’t ignore it any longer. Last Monday, I went to my dentist and he adjusted the bite to see if that would resolve it since he couldn’t see anything wrong via x-ray.
He said if it didn’t resolve the only solution is a root canal. Unfortunately, it did not get better and in fact was so bad I called him after hours for the first time because ibuprofen wasn’t enough. I’ve been his patient for over a dozen years so that tells you how bad I was feeling.
So, if some of this doesn’t make sense it’s because I’m blogging on Vicoden. 🙂

Wow, you crammed a lot into this post. Thanks! The downsizing post sounds especially intriguing. I am in the mood to get rid of stuff. I hope your molar pain goes away soon, without a root canal.

Alexandra, getting rid of stuff is a constant battle here. I keep getting boxes of products to review and then have more “stuff” to store and manage.

How is the tooth feeling? I understand that if you dress in Georgian style the pain abates. Or you’re too distracted by the corset to notice. Thank you for mentioning our new radio show targeted to midlife women with and without corsets.

Hi Kymberly,
I’ve been listening to a podcast of your radio show this week on my short commute and am loving it. Can’t wait to see how it goes.
P.S. The tooth is better thanks to dentistry!

Thanks so much for the shout out Kay Lynn!
Hoping that root canal happens soon and you’re back to being pain free!

Thanks for the shout out! Love you illustration at the top. I’m so sorry about your dental pain. Gosh. Good luck with the root canal. Been there! Not so bad just make sure you don’t drink a mess of coffee or tea as I was in the chair for a while.
Kay Lynn says
Hi Barbara,
Well what I thought would be one appointment for the root canal has turned into three (one at the family dentist and two at the endodontist) but the pain is gone!
