Tales From the Scale: Believe It!

KayLynn · October 27, 2014 · 1 Comment

Tales from the Scale-believe

Do you believe that you can make your personal weight loss goal?  At Saturday’s Weight Watchers meeting we discussed the power of belief. If you don’t believe in yourself than you might be defeating yourself.

I do believe I can lose 20 more pounds.  Part of that belief comes from the fact that although I’ve been on a very slow journey, every year I am lighter than the year before.

Where I struggle is believing in myself physically.  I think Kaia Fit is a great match for me because every exercise can be modified to the point that everyone in the group can do it.  It then not only builds strength but confidence.  I can do it!

You can do it!

Food Plan

Having said that, I’ve been struggling with getting back on track eating wise since my trip to New Orleans.  The biggest problem is sweets.

workcandy

A tradition at my office is baskets of candy for Halloween.  These are right outside my office and I have to walk by it anytime I go to a meeting, the restroom or to lunch.  Its been hard to resist and sometimes I haven’t.

Some of the healthier meals I’ve had this week include sirloin steak at Applebees.

I did not use all that butter or sour cream. This meal included a side salad with light dressing as well.

pork-chop

One night we grilled pork chops on the George Foreman and had that with roasted brussel sprouts and another baked potato.

Weigh-In

Last week I didn’t post but I did go to my Weight Watchers meeting.  I was down 1.8 pounds.  This week I was up 2.2.  There’s no way I ate enough to gain that amount so I’m sure some of it was water retention.  Nevertheless, it’s documented as this weeks’ weight so the total loss is now up to:

-45.6 Pounds

It frustrates me to be so far backwards but all I can do is move forward.

Challenges Ahead

The office candy will continue to be a challenge.  Other than that, I don’t have any social outings or travel.  What’s your biggest challenge this week?

45.6 pounds is awesome. This is a challenging time of year with candy, Thanksgiving, and Christmas….I’m with you on that. Congrats on that number- you should be proud. It’s not easy for sure.
