All streaks must come to an end. This means my 8 week streak of loss was broken Saturday. I had a gain of .6 pounds. I was disappointed but not surprised. The scale moved up Monday and never budged.
I’m not concerned though as I ate on plan and exercised seven days last week including three pilates classes. So this week the loss number decreases to:
Total Loss: 13.8 Pounds
This week’s meeting was about preparation for dining out. One woman’s strategy was to never eat out but that’s not a realistic solution for me. I have two trips next month and having a plan makes it easier to stay on track.
Taking snacks, preplanning by viewing menus online and refusing the bread basket are a few of the strategies shared. I also like to eat a piece of fruit or some carrots before leaving for the restaurant. Better decisions are made when I’m not “starving”.
Next week: I hope to get to 15 pounds lost at the next weigh-in, but no matter what I’ll have an on-plan week. Do you have any food or exercise challenges this week?

Sorry to hear that, but I’m with Khaleef. Hopefully you’ll get back on the right side of the scale next week.

Well, we knew the streak was going to end one day. I’m glad you’re not upset about it and I’m expecting big things from you overall. Can’t wait to see you in October! 🙂

I admire your positive outlook Kay! There will be bumps in the road and how we handle them will make the trip enjoyable or not…

Paul, it would be unrealistic for me to expect a loss every week. I’m a glass half full person which will be very helpful in this long journey. Hopefully, in about a year I’ll be at goal forget all about this one week!
