Have you started working on your 2014 goals? I’ve made a good start and am calendaring in time each week to review so they don’t get lost in daily life. Fourteen is a lot more to track than two!
Food Plan
New Year’s Eve was my highest calorie day this past week but I planned for it. A surprise was having my son who lives in Florida join us. He was in town for a friend’s wedding.
Those are bacon-wrapped chicken breasts served with green beans and mushroom almondine, mashed or au gratin potatoes, sourdough baguette and sparkling cider. Dessert was chocolate melting cake but fortunately they were small servings.
The rest of week didn’t include any big indulgences.
Weigh-in
There was a math error in last week’s update. My weight loss total should have been reported as -20.8 instead of -20.2. At least it was a favorable mistake. 🙂
My hard work paid off and I lost two pounds bringing the new total loss to:
-22.8 Pounds
I was very happy with that number considering I weighed in later than usual due to the Resolution Run 5K that morning. The subtext here is I normally weigh before eating or drinking anything. I had breakfast with coffee and water this week.
Challenges Ahead
The schedule is pretty normal this coming week and I’m happy to have gotten through the holiday season with momentum. My challenge this week will be continuing to track anything that goes in my mouth and getting 5-6 days of exercise.
How did your week towards great health go?
That’s a nice loss. I need to lose 20 lbs. too.
Nice weight loss!
I break my year long goal into manageable pieces by month. I’ve been working on my January goal. I’ve done well with parts of it (eat a vegetable or fruit with every meal), not perfectly but reasonably well with parts of it (take an average of 4500 steps a day), and not at all yet on some (going through recipes to find good freezer recipes). But, there is still a lot of month left so I’m happy with the progress so far.
Great to see you starting off the year with a loss, Kay Lynn!
