Sarah Fit: Get Skinny Again! Book Review

Sarah Fit (aka Sarah Dussault) is one of the healthy vloggers I shared last month.  When FitFluential offered me the chance to review her new book, Sarah Fit: Get Skinny Again!,  my hand jumped right up.

Sarah isn’t just a Youtube fitness star who has over 110 million views.  She’s a certified personal trainer who has appeared in Women’s Health, Men’s Health and Glamour.com.  She also was an on-camera host for Diet.com in addition to staring in the JCore Body DVD series.

Sarah Fit: Get Skinny Again!

Right off the bat, I’m not a fan of the book’s title.  People should want to be healthy and fit; not skinny! I feel that it’s something the publisher pushed because they know it will sell.  Don’t let that stop you from getting into the pages because there’s a lot of great information.

Sarah Fit: Get Skinny Again! is tailored for those that have begun to notice extra weight or never learned the basics of a healthy diet and exercise program. The book’s content is divided into three parts: Time to Get On Your Fitness, Time to Eat Clean to Get Lean and Time to Live the Fit Life.  I actually think it’s put together all wrong.  Part 3 should be the start of the book and Part 1 should be the end.  You might not find it a problem and of course, I was able to read it in the order I wanted.

A majority of the content is devoted to Time To Get On Your Fitness.  That’s a good thing because there are pictures for just about every exercise and tables describing each workout.

I really like the different workouts based on your objective.  Want to burn fat, then follow a different plan than someone focusing on abs.  There are also great 10 minute options for people that need to fit exercise in throughout a busy day.

You can do the workouts at home with some weights and other small equipment or at a gym.  They’re all new content; not something you’ve seen on Sarah’s blog or videos.

Not to say there’s not great diet information.  My favorite thing in this part is the list of suggestions for meals and snacks away from home.  Another thing I love is that the recipes are all pretty easy.  I ignore any recipe with a long ingredient list.

Despite the title Sarah Fit: Get Skinny Again! is a great resource for anyone who wants to get leaner and more fit in a reasonable manner.

You can connect with Sarah and learn more about the book on Twitter: GetSkinnyBook , Instagram: GetSkinnyAgain, or Facebook: www.facebook.com/GetSkinnyAgain.
