Recovery Fueled by Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla

As a Blue Diamond Tastemaker I’m always happy to have the opportunity to try their products. The timing couldn’t have been better for me to receive a carton of Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla almond milk.

After my oral surgery nearly two weeks ago I’ve been consuming a lot of soft foods including oatmeal and smoothies made with almond milk.

About Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk

UnsweetenedVanillaAlmondBreeze

Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla is a low carbohydrate milk substitute with just 30 calories per cup. Because it’s unsweetened it’s also low on the glycemic index.  That’s perfect for me with my pre-diabetes!

You can buy the product in three sizes: 64 oz., 32 oz. and new 11 oz. size for single servings.  I prefer the shelf stable cartons but the larger size is refrigerated and all are stocks in major grocery retailers including Amazon.com.

Follow Almond Breeze on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the latest news and recipes.

My Experience with Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla

Normally I purchase the unsweetened original flavor of Almond Breeze almond milk but after trying the vanilla flavor it will become a regular in my pantry.

I used the unsweetened vanilla in place of my usual Almond Breeze original for a much more flavorful serving of oatmeal. It was also wonderful in my usual smoothie recipe in place of original almond milk.

The only food I had where it would not be a good substitution is mashed potatoes. 🙂

I was really glad to have the carton of Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla almond milk before my surgery to help with the monotony of a soft foods diet.  Do you like almond milk?
