It’s the fourth day of our transatlantic crossing on the Norwegian Epic and I was happy to wake up at 5 am instead of earlier.
Morning at Sea
First stop was the Great Outdoors coffee area where it is even warmer this morning (although a bit of a breeze). Sister T and I had danishes (chocolate croissant for me) when early risers breakfast opened to hold us until the Taste dining room opened.
I ordered my new favorite, corned beef hash, with bacon and mint tea.
I love having this cute pot instead of the little metal cups a lot of places use.
My toasted bagel was supposed to come out when sister T.’s fruit dish came out. It didn’t then and not even with the rest of our breakfast. I got it after halfway through my meal.
We could tell the waiter was having trouble with his assistant. Otherwise service was great and our view at a window was pretty.
We got ready for a pool morning afterwards and I found two chairs in the shade. Felt like a Bloody Mary morning.
Then went to strawberry daiquiris.
We/I stayed there until lunch time.
Both pools were open today and great temperature. The band Let’s Groove played for 45 minutes or so and it was a great vibe.
Afternoon at Sea
After taking showers it was lunch time. Teresa wanted to eat a sandwich from the buffet and left before me. I was also going to eat there but it was so packed, walked down to the Taste restaurant. Again we had the same menu as the day before.
I had the Greek salad.
My entree was spaghetti bolognese.
None of the desserts appealed to me so I left and got a soft chocolate ice cream cone at the buffet before heading down to the cabin.
The rest of the afternoon was spent watching shows and napping.
Evening at Sea
After having a lavender patch drink at Shaker’s I met Sister T and we wandered to Taste to check out the dinner menu.
It didn’t speak to us so we decided on the buffet. Although the dessert menu wasn’t bad!
It wasn’t too busy when we got in line. It’s All American night and boy are there some weird things on the menu.
I’ve never eaten potato skins stuffed with baked beans. They also had sausage gravy with biscuits (breakfast food). We found some good items (not the mac and cheese which had absolutely no flavor) like roast beef, bbq chicken and chicken wings along with side items.
We both passed on dessert.
I went to the 7:30 show “Carole’s Kings” which was very entertaining. There was a gap between it and the comedy show so I decided to visit the casino and play the 10 dollars I had loaded on my card. I couldn’t get rid of it and ended up cashing out with over $15.
The comedy show tonight was not as good as the earlier ones I attended.. The master of ceremonies was just not funny and the headliner was hit or miss.
Lights out close to 11 pm. Thank goodness the last time change is tonight.
