Naturally we loved having my son and his girlfriend visit from Florida but it did throw meal plans off schedule a bit. It’s great to have house guests and then it’s great when they leave!
The little plan I had for the week was not terribly successful. I apologize for the lack of pictures but they wouldn’t have been very inspiring!
Monday: Home made chili, cornbread
We had my home made chili but instead of making cornbread, we had French bread from Panera.
Tuesday: Kale and bean soup
This didn’t happen since my son had other plans (which is why you’ll see it on Monday’s menu). It was frozen entree night.
Wednesday: Roasted Chicken, tater tots, green beans
It was the two of us again so we had low-calorie vegetarian pizza for dinner.
Thursday – Sunday: Testing Food Plan

I’m going to start cutting back on red meat and pork in an effort to reduce animal fat in my diet.
Monday: Meatless: Italian White Bean, Kale & Potato Stew
Tuesday: Shrimp with Polenta and Carrots
Wednesday: Chicken Teriyaki with Broccoli and Rice
Friday: Grilled cheese sandwiches with soup or salad
Saturday: Spaghetti with Turkey Meatballs
Sunday: Taco Soup
