Liberty of the Seas: Sea Day 3

KayLynn · December 30, 2017 · Leave a Comment

It’s our last full day aboard Liberty of the Seas and although we hate to see our wonderful trip end we’re going to make the most of this sea day.

Morning

Steve and I went to Windjammer again for breakfast.  My only complaint is that there are so many great choices, I have a hard time deciding what to eat. 🙂

After breakfast we decided to spend the morning by the Solarium pool as Steve needed wanted shade.

We used the jacuzzi, I made friends while floating in the pool (love the seats in the pool!) and enjoyed the bar.  After a while the “kids” found us as they set out to enjoy their day.

Not sure which day J did the flowrider but A2 got photographic proof.  I know A did rock climbing and most enjoyed the water slides including Steve.

As you can tell, we are pinker than on the first day!

Afternoon

Shortly before noon we left and got ready for lunch in the main dining room.

We started by sharing a salad I had made at the Tutti salad bar.

Next time I’ll get a little less dressing.

This was half the salad!

Steve selected the fish enchiladas for his entree.

I had what was supposed to be barramundi but they substituted corvina.

It was delicious!

For dessert Steve selected the caramelized banana mille-feuille.

My choice was the very tasty praline chocolate crunch.

Before heading to our cabin we swung by the Windjammer and got a peek at the cake before it was cut at 2 pm.

Afterwards we had to pack and might have also napped a bit.

Evening

We visited the Schooner Bar before dinner tonight.  Trivia started after we got there and it was fun hearing the questions  even though we didn’t play.

I loved the lavender daiquiri and wished I had found it on night one!  I took the second one with me to the dining room for dinner.

Starters tonight included the spinach dip.

Seafood ceviche.

and Clam Chowder.

The entree menu.

Our mains included the pasta.

Grilled pork chop (our menu in the dining room had pork instead of veal).

Lamb chops.

And Shrimp gyoza.

Our waiter brought a couple of extra plates of these since it was a small entree and we all got to try it.

Desserts included the warm chocolate cake.

And the strawberry palova.

I gave extra tip envelopes to both Krisna and Jing. They deserved it going above and beyond in having our drinks ready for us at dinner (once I ordered ginger ale, Jing always had it for me) and bringing extra food or different items if something didn’t meet our tastes.

We also gave our room steward an extra tip because of her great and accomodating service.

After 8 pm I went to the photo shop to pick up the USB with the digital photos I’d purchased.  Because I knew we’d be taking more pictures than usual, I bought the package.  As long as we were in it, we got the pictures of the group.  Funny, there was one picture of a stranger at the pool.  He must have given the photographer the wrong cabin number or they made a typo.

Then I went to the show, Saturday Night Fever, with everyone except Steve who went to bed early.  I really like seeing long theatre productions at sea.

Back in the cabin I changed and put our tagged bags shortly before the 11 pm deadline and off to dreamland.

No towel animal tonight. Here is today’s Compass (PDF).  Click to download or see the full file.
