We were up at 6:30 am Atlantic time and went to the Windjammer for coffee until the dining room opened. I ordered the blueberry pancakes with bacon and my husband had his favorite ham and cheese omelet with hash browns and bacon.
The seas are rough and it’s very windy and cold. No one is by the pool today. My sisters, Mom and I went to morning trivia. Another passenger, Bob, joined us and made us a winning team. The prize was Royal Caribbean combination locks (much better than a plastic ship on a stick).
I bought bus/ferry passes for Bermuda ($12 each for 1 day and $20 for 2 days). I also bought a beach safecase lanyard at the gift shop.
My husband and I were back in the dining room for lunch.
- Appetizers: shrimp and crab bisque
- Entrees: baby back ribs
- Desserts: chocolate creme brulee and banana caramel split
The service for both breakfast and lunch was better than we have experienced of late on other cruise lines.
The official meet and mingle was today at 1:30. We received gifts (note pad on a neck rope) plus Steve’s raffle ticket was drawn. He won a travel portfolio and a travel mug.
It was a perfect day for an afternoon nap until it was time to get ready for formal night. We met the family in the Schooner bar for a pre-dinner drink. Today’s drink of the day was deep blue sea.
At dinner we had the bottle of wine my mom and Sister T received from the travel agent.
- Appetizers: shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad
- Entrees: pan-seared sea bass (with polenta and carrots), filet of beef with mashed potatoes and asparagus
- Desserts: grand marnier souffle, cherries jubilee
The show wasn’t until 9 pm and we were already asleep by then.
Movies today are “Herbie Reloaded ” and “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”.
