Four Things Thursday

KayLynn · January 30, 2014 · Leave a Comment

Yes, I know this usually is my Friday topic but I have something else scheduled for you tomorrow so Five Things is a day early this week and therefore has been renamed Four Things. 🙂

It’s been quite a week with both the inaugural Carnival of Healthy Living going live and my podcast interview but there have been a few things on my mind in addition to work.

Hip Flexor Strain

I’m happy to say I’ve not had pain from the hip flexor strain for a couple of days now.  The test will be when I resume walking today.  I’m hoping my patience in refraining from this activity for the past couple of weeks has paid off.

One of the constants is stretching.  The image above shows a simple hip flexor stretch.  Most of us who sit all day for our work have the issue of tight hip flexors so add this one to your regular stretching routine.

Fitness

I’ll be very happy if I can get walking back into my exercise rotation.  This past week I’ve done one of these workouts each: pilates,  workout video and upper body strength training.  Not as good as it should be but better than I was a year ago!

Super Bowl Sunday

It’s Super Bowl Sunday this week.  Even though I am a huge fan of professional football this match-up is not exciting me.  A lot of my extended family is in Washington state and they are VERY excited.

So I’ll be watching but it will mainly be for the commercials and well, it’s the Super Bowl!

Giveaways

Sunday is also the last day to enter the giveaway for a copy of Jillian Michaels’ book  Unlimited plus a case of Popchips!  I’ll be announcing winners for the last two giveaways in an upcoming post.

Here are the giveaways  currently running at my sister blog:

Hard Candy Cases & Gumdrop Cases Giveaway (ends 1/31)

Purex Bright Washes Bright Wishes Giveaway (ends 2/1) Three winners!

Bring the Fun, Not Fat with Popchips & Jillian Michaels (Giveaway) (ends 2/3)

That’s it for this abbreviated version of five things.  What’s new with you this week?
