Five Things Friday

KayLynn · June 20, 2014 · 4 Comments

new-tagline

This summer I’ll  be updating the theme and design of Weight Chronicles but I’ve already made one change.  The blog header has been updated to reflect a change in the tagline.  Instead of “Losing It on a Journey to Health” it’s now “Life on a Journey to Health”.

What does that mean?  Weight Chronicles will still focus on health and wellness but will include posts about other areas and interests in my life.  I hope you enjoy this change as well as the aesthetic ones later.

Fitbloggin’ 14

fitbloggin_badge

Fitbloggin’ 14 is next week!  After a year of anticipation following Fitbloggin’ 13 it’s hard to believe it’s here.  Yesterday I signed up for a ghost tour Thursday evening in a hearse!  It will be a blast as will all the other sessions and activities.

Whether it’s yoga or a small discussion group I can’t wait.  I will try to take lots of pictures and share what I’ve learned and experience with you afterwards.

Weather

There’s not much to say about the weather is San Diego this time of year as well… it’s just perfect.  But since I traveled last week and earlier this week I experienced the climate in a couple of other cities.

Last week in Atlanta it was the best weather I’ve ever enjoyed this time of year there.  It was humid of course but since the temperature was only in the 70’s it didn’t bother me.  The rain conveniently only occurred when I was indoors which was great as we walked to dinner both nights and back and forth from the Marta station.

I can’t say the same for Minneapolis this week.  It was raining when we landed Monday and continued all evening.  This is the view from our dinner table at Redstone’s American Grill. The food was fantastic but the outdoor dining was definitely different than what I’m used to!

Weight Watchers Cheer Buddies

cheer-buddies

Kari from A Winning Loser created a pen-pal exchange for people on Weight Watchers.  This was the first month and I was paired up with Hannah who sent me a fantastic box of goodies for my journey!

I can’t believe how many things Hannah managed to fit in my box.  I loved it all and now that the picture is out of the way will be diving in to use them.  I only hope my brown thumb doesn’t kill the basil!

If you’re interested in joining  in click HERE to sign up for the next month’s pen pal assignments.

I like your new blog header. Weather in San Diego – it is always perfect, isn’t it?!

Thanks Susan. The weather here is pretty good year-round. You don’t talk about the weather much when it’s nice!

Carol, I know we need rain but since we get it infrequently no one seems to know how to drive in it. Maybe if it would only rain at night?
