Carnival Miracle: October 31, 2013, Sea Day 7

KayLynn · October 31, 2013 · Leave a Comment

I woke around 7 and was happy to see that Steve had grabbed the laundry to get it started for our third and last load of the trip. With only three pairs of shorts, we’ve needed to do it more often than I’d recommend. I can tell you we’ve never had trouble getting machines in the early morning.
We had coffee while he changed it to the dryer and folded it before heading to the dining room for breakfast.

After breakfast we headed to the internet café to check email and Facebook. It was fun seeing the Halloween pictures of friends and family on Facebook.

It was sunny so we changed into our bathing suits and went to the pool. We first tried the serenity deck but it was full so we went to the middle pool and found two loungers in the sun. We had sun for about 30 minutes before it became cloudy and cooler. We went to the hot tub for about 20 minutes and it was very cold when we got out so we went to our cabin to shower and dress for lunch.

Lunch was in the dining room. I had cream of spinach soup, chicken Parmesan and chocolate eclair. Steve had Philly cheesecake sandwich and the chocolate eclair.

We napped the rest of the afternoon before heading to the 4:30 pm Liars club show. It was standing room only before it started and we enjoyed it. We then had to get our costumes on for dinner.

I was Cleopatra and Steve was Julius Caesar.

At dinner I ordered the chicken quesadilla and French onion soup as starters. Both were delicious but there wasn’t many onions in the soup. Steve had the chicken quesadilla and black bean soup.

Ordering our Halloween meals

I ordered the chicken Sicilian style for dinner while Steve had short ribs which came with fried rice.

For dessert there were two special Halloween options.

I had the chocolate “thing” and Steve had pumpkin cheesecake.

It did not taste like pumpkin at all!

We then visited the atrium to see all the costumes other passengers were wearing.

Unfortunately, the photo stations take up a lot of seating so we left due to lack of seating. There wasn’t a show tonight (nada) so we just went back to our room to read and watch TV. The movies today were Halloween-themed (Casper and Hocus Pocus).

Clocks move forward one hour tonight and we’ll be back on West Coast schedule Sunday morning.
