Carnival Miracle Day 8: Long Beach

KayLynn · January 1, 2017 · Leave a Comment

We were awake before the Carnival Miracle arrived in Long Beach this morning.

Passing the Long Beach jetty

The coffee bar was open earlier than normal so got my last latte and left an extra tip.  I don’t normally have a latte everyday but couldn’t stand the lido coffee.

We went to breakfast in the dining room one last time and then returned to the cabin for our carryons.

The ship was docked now and the seagulls were enjoying their lifeboat perches while I enjoyed the Long Beach skyline one last time.

We waited less than an hour in the main theatre before it was our turn to disembark.  Other than being crowded, I don’t remember any big delays or even having to stop for customs.

The delay came when we were waiting for the hotel shuttle back to Hotel Maya and our car.  We were directed to a certain spot and waited and waited some more.  I called the hotel twice and finally after waiting nearly an hour (and getting ready to walk to the hotel) the shuttle came.

More fellow passengers had arrived by that time and we made sure to get seats since we’d been waiting the longest. After that, the trip home was pretty uneventful and we were home by 1 pm.
