Attack of the Common Cold

KayLynn · December 12, 2013 · Leave a Comment

I Hate Bugs

Since the common cold attacked me Friday evening I’ve been struggling to get anything done at all let alone exercise and eating well.  I’ve missed holiday events, work and workouts!  You probably have forgotten about me with no articles popping up in the RSS feed.

As I write this, it’s a battle to keep my eyelids open without resorting to toothpicks and I’ve become a mouth-breather (which I despise) because no air can get through the blockade in my nasal passages.  I thought I would share the little that has gone on the past week.

Holiday Decor

Sunday my husband dutifully climbed high perches and braved pack storage areas to find all six tubs of holiday decorations and the large Christmas tree box. He put up our wreath on the door and then put up the tree which has been waiting for me to decorate it ever since.

I will get it done by the end of the weekend come hell or high water!

Other Holiday Stuff

The last couple of years I’ve ordered personalized Christmas cards from online sites.  This year I took that one step further and had the cards mailed straight from the retailer. I was even able to import the addresses into the website from my gmail contacts export.  I told my husband how I checked this item off the to-do list only to learn he wanted to add something to a couple of the cards this year.  Those people will be getting two!

I’ve done some shopping online; I’m doing my best to never hit a physical store.  The only thing I will need to buy at a store are stocking stuffers.  Those can wait until I’m well.

Two Savvy Sisters Giveaways

For the second year in a row, my sister and I are hosting the 12 days of giveaways from our personal gift stashes at Two Savvy Sisters.  Although it is work to write up the giveaway post itself, the even harder work is promoting it at various giveaway linkys — at least it’s hard when you have 10 entries to list on each site!

Please go over and enter.  You might just win. 🙂

Time to go blow my nose and take another dose of Alka Selzer cold medicine.  What’s been going on with you this week?
