Weekly Keto Update #9

KayLynn · October 1, 2018 · Leave a Comment

I was in San Diego all week but did enjoy dining out for a few occasions (I failed taking pictures most of the time!).  It was too busy for cooking any new recipes but had a good week overall.

Progress

I lost another .4 pounds for a total of 19.6 pound lost.  I’m sure the extra food (and alcohol) last weekend slowed down this week’s progress but that’s okay as I don’t see my brother very often.

I record measurements every two weeks and had lost another 4 1/2 inches this time so that’s good news.  Getting higher morning ketones in general now and I’m happy with that.

New Products

I first had Cutwater Spirits grapefruit vodka soda at the Eagles concert last week and bought a 4 pack of this canned cocktail at Target the next day.  My sister-in-law and I shared one before dinner Sunday and she was also a fan.

It’s a bonus that it’s made right here in San Diego.

Food and Recipes

I’ve started intermittent fasting 2-3 days a week.  Those are the days when I have bullet proof coffee only for breakfast or skip dinner.  Favorite meals this week included our dinner out Sunday evening.

We had two orders of the jumbo shrimp cocktail for the table and here is a pic of my share.

I ended up ordering grilled salmon caesar salad.  I just can’t pay $40 for steak dinner I can make myself for less than $10.

Breakfasts were really good this week when I had them.  This is a picture of the last of the pork ribs meat with an egg over it from Wednesday morning.  I did the same thing Friday lunch only with leftover steak.

Here’s the log of what I ate this week.

Breakfast Lunch Dinner Snacks
Sunday scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, cream skipped Restaurant: grilled salmon, caesar salad, vodka soda cheddar cheese, fat bomb
Monday bullet proof coffee Karl Strauss: farmhouse burger (no bun), green beans skipped cheddar cheese, beef stick, olives
Tuesday bacon, egg, cream pork ribs, green beans with butter chicken wings, salad, blue cheese dressing, fat bombs cheddar cheese
Wednesday pork rib meat, egg, cream, cheddar cheese chicken wings, bacon ribeye steak, broccoli with butter fat bomb
Thursday bullet proof coffee steak, egg green beans with butter, beef burger, guacamole cheese stick, catalina crunch with macademia milk
Friday bacon, eggs, cream cheese, cream steak, broccoli with butter Chipotle: Carnitas salad with guacamole and fajita vegetables cheddar and beef stick (Cheeseheads combo pack), catalina crunch and macademia milk
Saturday bacon eggs, cream chicken wings, babybel cheese Swedish meatballs over cauliflower rice (frozen leftovers from last week) fat bombs

Looking Forward

I’ll be eating out 5 days out of 7 this week between the conference and my next trip on Saturday.  I’ve perused the menus already of where we’re dining three nights and I’m ready for the challenge and hope to come home to another loss.

Have a great keto week!
