Weekly Chronicles: Easter Edition

If you celebrate Easter, may yours be joyous as we remember the resurrection of Jesus.  We are having Easter dinner at home; just the two of us.  I bought a ham slice so we’re not stuck with tons of leftovers.  To go with that we’ll have asparagus spears, fried potatoes and gluten-free cornbread.  Yum!

Whatever your day brings you, enjoy some of the articles and giveaways I found this week.

Around the Web

If you missed out on discussion regarding the controversial Kirstie Alley remarks, I like the take on it at Feed Me, I’m Cranky.

Midlife Boulevard shares the different ways Easter was celebrated now and then in the writer’s life.

Push-ups are my achilles heel.  FitKnitChick has a article on how to progress from knees to toes successfully.

A Boomer Girl’s Guide talks about becoming the oldest generation in your family.  It’s something my husband and I have discussed several times as we’ve both become the oldest in our respective immediate families.

Try this healthy egg salad recipe from Grace, Grits and Gardening.  I love the idea of using Greek yogurt instead of mayo.

Giveaways

Don’t forget to enter the two giveaways going on here at Weight Chronicles.  The Nakd Bars sampler box giveaway closes April 22nd and the ENERGYbits Swag Pack giveaway ends April 25th.

Two Savvy Sisters is giving away a Burton the Kind Scarecrow children’s book.  Enter by midnight April 26th.

Enter to win a beautiful Keekaroo Height Right high chair at Wealth Informatics before it ends April 24th.

More Time to Travel is hosting a giveaway of the book Home Sweet Anywhere which ends April 29th while Friend for the Ride is giving away a copy of Fencing with Breast Cancer.

Enter to win Kombucha soda at Celiac and the Beast on or before April 24th.

Budgeting in the Fun Stuff is giving away a wood watch.  I’ve never seen anything like it.  This one ends April 30th.

Enter to win a copy of Budget Bytes (cookbook) at Surviving and Thriving.  Entries close Tuesday evening.

This closes another edition of Weekly Chronicles.  Have a wonderful Easter or weekend and see you later!
