Weekly Chronicles: Academy Awards Edition

KayLynn · February 24, 2013 · 6 Comments

66th Academy Awards

Today we went and saw the movie that had actors nominated in all four acting categories plus best pictures in tonight’s Academy Awards.  Silver Linings Playbook is an excellent movie about families, mental illness and love.  It was excellent but I think there are many excellent movies this year. We’ve seen Lincoln, but I would still like to see Argo and Life of Pi.

Which Best Picture nominee is your favorite?

Around the Web

I’ve been drinking diet soda ever since I found Tab as a teenager.  It didn’t taste that good back then but I liked soda and wanted to retain my girlish figure. Fast foward a few decades and the girlish figure is long gone and the taste quality is up.  But, there are health concerns as pointed out by Simple Nourished Living. What do you think?

Thanks for mentioning my post. The fact that artificial sweeteners increase appetite is worrying, but I never put to much credence in the cancer study, since it was funded by the sugar industry.

Edward, good point about the funding.

My husband mentioned Tab the other day. I had totally forgotten about the stuff. It made me think of Fresca too 🙂 Thanks for linking to my diet soda post!

I haven’t seen many of the Oscar nominees but enjoyed both Lincoln and Argo.

Martha, Fresca was another oldie but goodie. I am just about out of my stock of soda and ready to try soda-free living.
