Tales from the Scale: Week 27

Having go-to menu items at restaurants is one way to keep on track when eating out.  Not even opening the menu and just ordering the “safe” item avoids temptation.  I know what to order and stay within the range of points I want to at many fast food and sit down restaurants.

The cool thing about this week’s Weight Watchers meeting is that we shared places and I learned about several new eateries to try.  There’s one where every menu item is 475 calories or less!  I shared the hidden Panera menu.  Did you know about it?

Weigh-In

I did lose that gain from last week plus a bit more for a 1.2 pound loss.  That makes the total loss since January 5th:

29.2 Pounds

It doesn’t look like I’ll make 30 pounds by the end of the month since I won’t be in town for Saturday’s meeting.  If  it’s close, I will try to run over Wednesday and weigh-in.

Weekly Movement

I earned 38 activity points thanks to two long walks (6 and 7 miles respectively) in addition to two 3-4 mile walks and two pilates classes.  This level of exercise is a bit tiring and I’ll be glad to ratchet down the walking after the Avonwalk.

Challenges Ahead

I’m leaving Wednesday night for BlogHer followed by business travel and will be gone exactly one week.  It is hard to eat well at BlogHer and even harder to stay hydrated.

I won’t be exercising as much as normal but will take advantage of the hotel workout room a couple of times (after the conference) and during BlogHer have a couple of fitness events scheduled.

We’ll see what havoc this causes with my weight loss if any.  How did your week towards great health go?

I had a pretty great week, honestly. Ran 64 minutes last week – 22 straight minutes on Saturday morning! Had my first Pilates class Monday night. (Ouch.) Racked up 87,000 steps throughout the week. And lost 1.5 pounds.
