Tales from the Scale: Week 19

I was not in town Saturday  but did weigh in at the Weight Watchers meeting location a couple of days early before heading to Portland.

Weigh-In

With five days of progress I was happy to be down a full pound on Thursday.  That brings the total loss to:

25.8 Pounds

It was so exciting to pass that 25 pound mark.  I asked them to hold off on the award until I’m back to my regular meeting.  I want to celebrate with my leader and the friends I’ve made at that meeting.

Weekly Movement

My exercise schedule changed so I can follow the Avon Walk training program.  Since I was at a conference Friday I only made it to one pilates class and my activity points for the week were 25.

By the way, I miss the Tuesday/Thursday pilates instructor.  She is much more nurturing than the one I’m with now.

Challenges Ahead

The challenge was eating right and exercising during the conference.  Since my hotel was 1/2 mile away from the conference that helped with activity.  I was able to walk 13 1/2 miles over the three days.

Eating right was another story.  Yes, it was a vegan conference so all food ingested was plant-based but there was a lot of higher calorie vegan treats than I normally eat.  But I didn’t overeat so I don’t think there was any damage with all the extra walking.

The big culprit is salt.  I’m salt sensitive so my scale was up 3 pounds yesterday morning.  If it’s all gone by Saturday, my theory will be confirmed!

The rest of the week should be easy and once I hit the grocery store tonight we’ll be on track.  How did your week towards great health go?
