Nutrisystem D Update: Week 6 #NSNation

KayLynn · March 10, 2014 · 4 Comments

Remember I told you that Nutrisystem D is more than shelf-stable and frozen food.  I supplement them with lots of fresh veggies, fruit and lean proteins.

That bag of organic power greens in the picture above is one of my new food finds from Trader Joe’s.  I steam them and add to egg beaters for a filling, delicious breakfast and it counts as my power fuel for the morning meal.

What I Ate This Week

This week I ate all Nutrisystem D meals except for one restaurant meal.  That one meal out was very healthy (Mediterranean) so no concern there.  Here are some of the meals I enjoyed this week.

Breakfast…

Granola for breakfast.
I added 4 oz. of skim milk to the Granola.

Lunch….

Chicken Fajita Melt with squash and banana.
Chicken Fajita Melt with squash and banana.

and dinner….

Hickory smoke burger with squash (yes I love it) and strawberries.

That burger might have been my favorite meal of the week.  It’s a toss-up between this and pizza!

Weekly Progress

I’m getting a little frustrated with my body.  I’ve been exercising consistently and eating within my calorie range every day.  Yet, my scale is not giving up anything without a lot of work and then very little.

However, I’ll take the loss of one pound bringing my weight loss since starting Nutrisystem D to -7.4 pounds!  I’ve lost that vacation weight and more.

See my week by week results below.

Disclosure: Nutrisystem is providing me with the meal plan in exchange for blogging about my journey with no other compensation.  All opinions expressed are 100% mine.

I’m with you in frustration over how hard it’s become suddenly to lose even a fraction of a pound, even while walking 15-20,000 steps a day, biking three days a week, and taking two Pilates Reformer classes each week. I’m eating well, exercising, and even drinking 64 ounces of water every day and I’ve only lost 4.5 pounds since New Year’s (9 weeks). Of course Mick points out that at least I’m losing and that 1/2 pound a week is still going to get me to goal by the end of the year but I was hoping to start maintenance over the summer and that just doesn’t seem likely at this point.

Mick is right! You’re losing and that’s a positive thing. I need to be there as well. I’ve already lost most of the 10 pounds I regained in the fall. As soon as that’s off, then it’s all new territory from there on. But it’s hard to always be positive when we work so hard and see minimal loss.

I think you’re doing really well, especially since you were away on a trip for awhile. Losing a pound is just fine.
