Nutrisystem D Update: Week 4 #NSNation

KayLynn · February 25, 2014 · 2 Comments

It’s been three weeks since my last update but not for lack of interest.  We were on a cruise and it took me a few days to get back on track thanks to illness and a lack of groceries.  Thursday I got back in the swing of things and rounded out a complete week when you add days the pre-cruise days in.

Eating On Vacation

I should have ordered more fruit plates!
I should have ordered more fruit plates!

I have to admit it was nice to eat non-packaged foods for a while but cruise ship menu’s don’t always have the healthiest choices.  There’s always one lower calorie/fat option but it typically wasn’t something I liked. There were definitely too many carbs between the bread, pasta and desserts as you’ll see if the results below.

I’ve been enjoying the portion-controlled breakfasts…

breakfast
Nutrisystem sweetened O’s Cereal with eggbeaters prepared with veggies

lunches….

Nutrisystem Cheese Tortellini with sauteed squash

dinners…

Nutrisystem Chili with Beans served over brown rice with more sauteed squash

and of course, dessert….

Weekly Progress

In addition to the two week vacation, we ate out a couple of times last weekend with family visiting for my father-in-law’s funeral.  I ordered using the tips from Nutrisystem and feel I did very well there.  Of course, restaurants normally add way too much salt to food.

Because of all this eating away from home, I was thrilled to only be up 1.2 pounds at weigh-in yesterday.  I know that by staying on track both with nutrition and exercise, I’ll get rid of that and lose more soon.

See a week by week progress report in the table below.

It looks like you had a great time on the cruise with your eating. I’m sure it was a good break from the Nutrisystem food, but I know you were having results with the portions as well. 🙂

Hi Khaleef, it was a very nice vacation mostly because of time spent with my sisters and brother but the weather cooperated too. I am having results with the portions and am learning what works for me at this point (less carbs — even healthy ones).
