Kona Kase Monthly Box Review

KayLynn · May 16, 2013 · Leave a Comment

I’ve been reading about subscription boxes the past few months and have wanted to give them a try.  That’s why I jumped on the offer to try Kona Kase’s monthly box through FitFluential.

 About Kona Kase

Kona Kase

The monthly box from Kona Kase is designed to fuel your active lifestyle and includes nutritional products with inspiration in the form of quotes.  If you’re like me, it would be great to a bit of both!

It’s an easy three step process to get your own Kona Kase delivered to your home.  Sign up to receive eight nutritional products each month, receive the monthly shipment and then go out and hit the road, gym or wherever you live your active life.

Experiencing Kona Kase

I couldn’t wait to open the Kona Kase box when it arrived and see what goodies awaited!

The contents didn’t disappoint and I’d only ever had one of them before.

My box contained:

  • Kind Almond Walnut Macadamia + Protein bar
  • Justin’s Honey Peanut Butter Blend
  • Journey Savory Nutrition Bar, sea salt flavor
  • Sun Cups Milk Chocolate Caramel Cups
  • Soy Joy bar, Blueberry
  • Barbara Llewellyn Brown Sugar and Rosemary Cashews
  • Richland Orchards Toasted Coconut Greek Yogurt Bar
  • Zing Bars, Chocolate Coconut and Cashew Cranberry Orange
  • Trachealth Chia and Blackberry Hisbiscus Green Tea

I gave away the four non-vegan items to very happy co-workers which left me with the Kind Bar, Journey Bar, Zing Bars, Barbara Llewellyn cashews and the Trachealth tea.

The Kind bar went so fast I forgot to take a picture of it alone!  It’s the one item I’ve had experience with previously and it wasn’t the plus protein version.

I loved the savory cashews from Barbara Llewellyn.  The rosemary added a delicious flavor to a favorite nut.

zingbar

The Zing bars were very tasty and unlike most nutrition bars would pass for dessert.  I absolutely loved the Chocolate Coconut flavor and would recommend to anyone that enjoys those favors.  If you prefer citrusy treats, then you’ll like the Cashew Cranberry Orange flavor.

I like the idea of a savory nutrition bar, but not necessarily this flavor.  It wasn’t bad, just not special.  I would try again with another flavor Journey Bars are available in like pizza marinara or rosemary.

I haven’t tried the last item, the Trachealth Chia + Blackberry Hibiscus green tea yet.  It includes antioxidants, omega-3s and fiber in one small package.  I plan to try this after a long workout soon and hope it’s as tasty as it sounds.

Even though I chose not to some of the products, I still think the box is a great way to try new products.

Kona Kase Discount

You can sign up for your own Kona Kase for $15 a month although there are multi-month discounts.  For the first order, use code FF2 to save $5!  Come back and let me know what you think.

Disclosure:  I received the Kona Kase April monthly box for review purposes.  All opinions expressed are 100% mine.
