Its our last full day of the cruise and a sea day.
Morning at Sea
I was up at 6 am and followed my usual routine with a cup of coffee in the lido before going to java cafe when it opened. Sister T met me up in Lido for breakfast. I had a burrito from Blue Iguana.
It was delicious. I followed up with some breakfast pastries including my favorite cruise ship cinnamon roll.
Then I went to the cabin to get ready for a morning by the pool. I found this comfortable chair with footrest on deck 11 in the shade.
Perfect! I did go into the empty pool for a bit.
It was cool temperature and I think that was keeping people away. Here’s what the lounger situation was at 9:30/10 am.
About 11:15, it was time to pack up and get cleaned up for lunch.
Afternoon at Sea
Sister T and I were going to do seafood shack for lunch and then main dining room for dinner. After reviewing the menu we decided to use our last specialty dining coupon trying Guy’s Pig & Anchor smokehouse.
So it was lunch at the lido which I got to say is much better than my past buffet experiences. We did the French offerings.
Everything was good except for the quiche. Too many onions. I also had salad and the chocolate peanut butter cake.
We packed, rested, took care of financial matters for the rest of the afternoon. Before we know it was time for dinner. On the way to the Pig & Anchor Smokehouse I gave Joe, our room steward, a thank you card with Amazon gift cards. He was fantastic all week!
Evening at Sea
At the restaurant we found a booth. For drinks I had bourbon blackberry lemonade and Sister T had water since they didn’t have iced tea (a bbq place with no tea?).
My cocktail was way too strong for me. Not a whiskey fan. Then we made our selections.

I ordered prime rib for entree.
Sister T had the baby back ribs for her main entree.
The tables had four sauces available if needed.
Not knowing the meals came with grilled corn and cole slaw we had ordered sides. Our selections were mashed potatoes, sweet potato mash and mac and cheese.
We loved our meals. Our desserts not so much. Sister T had the banana cream pie.
I finished with the apple cobbler.
Oh well, now we know.
After dinner I went by the java café and gave an amazon card to the barista who was so great all week (Donna). Then headed to the final production show. I found a good seat for Celestial Strings.
The set was interesting. The performances were very good but I wasn’t always a fan of the song arrangements. I closed my evening with a last cocktail, a Deal Closer, at the Alchemy Bar.
I left a big tip for Suzie who was fantastic. Then it was time to get my suitcase out the door and go to bed. In the room Sister T was already asleep so I rolled both our bags out after makin sure she was done with hers. This heart means tomorrow we’re going home.
