A Story of Diabetes Type 2

KayLynn · November 17, 2012 · 5 Comments

Both my parents, a grandmother, my sister, uncles and cousins all have been diagnosed.  Who knows how many were impacted and never diagnosed.  I’ve been battling a rising HG1AC for the past couple of years and it’s not looking promising.

My sister has been documenting her journey with diabetes on her blog, Teresa’s Treasures and Tidbits.  Parts 1-3 have opened my eyes as she’s shared her experience and emotions dealing with this disease the last nine years.  I highly encourage you to read it.

I’ll write another post about this topic soon talking about risk factors and lifestyle changes.  If you don’t know your risk, get a free diabetes screening at CVS’ Minute Clinics.

Thank you for sharing! It’s so important to get the reality of Diabetes out there and to educate on how it can be possibly prevented or at least delay the onset as long as possible.
