Weekly Chronicles: Atlanta Edition

KayLynn · June 8, 2014 · 3 Comments

type-a-bing

This week I’m traveling to Atlanta (or as I call it, Hotlanta) for business.  It’s a conference so I will be working a booth as well as facilitating discussions and co-hosting a client dinner.  I love it but it’s very exhausting with 14-16 hour days.

So if blogging falls off, you know why!  The last time I was there was for Type-A Parent conference last Fall when the picture above was taken.

Around the Web

Here are some of my favorite articles this past week.

Season it Already has a recipe for Mediterranean lunch power bowls which is a great idea to cut down on meal prep and eat healthy.

Learn 7 training principles especially designed for women over 50 at Fun and Fit.

Midlife Boulevard shares 10 tools for getting through cancer treatment.  A lot of these are applicable to any personal crisis.

This sausage and vegetable casserole recipe from Get Fit with Nikki looks good enough I might get my husband to eat it (he’s not a veggie lover).

Prior Fat Girl discusses the challenge of conference food.  It was helpful to read before my travels this week.

Learn ways to stay fit while traveling at Enjoying the Course.  Last in the trio about travel is how to cruise while grain-free (and paleo) from Garden Girl.

Nutri-Savvy’s Blog shares a delicious looking recipe for chocolate poppers with no-added sugar

Giveaways

Two Savvy Sisters has a new giveaway for 3 months supply of Purina One cat food.  Two will win and entries close June 12th.

Enter by tomorrow for your chance to win a $10 Starbucks gift card at Surviving and Thriving.

Go! Go! Gail! has a Thinkthin bar with $25 Visa Gift Card giveaway accepting entries until June 13th.

I’d love to win a Blendtec blender at The Lean Green Bean.  It closes tomorrow.

Friend for the Ride is giving away a copy of The Madwoman in the Volvo.  Entries close June 25th.

Enter for a chance to win a 4 pack of DK Eyewitness Travel books at More Time to Travel.  It closes June 25th.

Let’s Talk and Walk is hosting a Bondi Band giveaway that ends tonight.  Double your chances by entering the Bondi Band giveaway at Foodie Loves Fitness which ends Tuesday.

That’s it for this edition of Weekly Chronicles.  Have a great week!

Thank you for mentioning my post on tips for getting through a breast cancer diagnosis, on Midlife Boulevard. I truly appreciate the share and hope that it will reach others who may also be diagnosed so that they can learn from my experience.
