So Glad It’s Friday!

overwhelmed

You don’t know how happy I am too be almost done with this first week back at work.  I foolishly thought that since we had five leisurely sea days coming back from Hawaii and no flights I would be fine going back to work without taking an extra day off.

Not only that, but this week involved three night events with clients which is very unusual and I saw no problem scheduling it all.  Let me tell you reality was very far off from my fantasy!

What Really Happened

We got home Sunday afternoon and did get our suitcases unpacked and my husband started doing the laundry.  Note that unpacked does not mean everything in them was put away.  I got the charger for my Fitbit and have been wearing it this week but I don’t know what I did with the piece that syncs the information to my computer.  If I don’t find it this weekend, it will be $20 to replace it.

We also picked up the dog and a few groceries to get us by.  Remember we were gone two weeks so we used up or threw out perishable food items that would expire before leaving.  Our fridge is still bare and options for meals are minimal.

Monday, we picked up mail at the post office and sorted through it.  After recycling a lot of election mailers we still have a pile that needs to be opened and handled.

 This Weekend’s Plans

A lot has been pushed off to this weekend and I’m starting to think it might be too much.  Here’s the list:

1. Put away clean clothes and all items from the suitcases piled on my dresser.
2. Go to weight watchers meeting.
3. Get hair cut.
4. Upload pictures from my camera.
5. Skype with grandson.
6. Create meal plan.
7. Shop for groceries.
8. Watch recorded shows (I’m too embarrassed to tell you how many)
9. Watch Charger game.
10. Spend time with my son and his girlfriend visiting from out of state.
11. Go through mail.
12. Pay bills.
13. Blog planning (giveaways, article research, etc.)
14. Coffee with friend.

The priority tasks on this list of things with loved ones. Those are the items I’ll make sure get marked off.  What do you have planned this week?

As much as I love vacation, the coming home/getting back to normal again part is just not fun. Hope I’ll see you tomorrow but I’ll totally understand if coffee gets dropped off the list – definitely not anything that can’t wait! 🙂
