Nutrisystem D Update: Week 1 #NSNation

KayLynn · January 20, 2014 · 6 Comments

 daily_planner

One week down on the Nutrisystem D plan and it’s going well.  The first couple of days were a little nerve-wracking as I was learning the terminology and when to have what snacks.

I learned after the first day that the Fast 5 program is not for people on the Nutrisystem D program so I started Day 2 on the standard program and really liked the six meals/snacks a day routine.

nutrisystem_meals

Above are some of the meals I’ve been having: waffles with peanut butter, chicken pot pie (served with broccoli), egg beaters with veggies and a breakfast bar.  I have liked every meal so far with the exception of the meatloaf with mashed potatoes which I will not be reordering.

There were a couple of times I didn’t follow the plan exactly.   Saturday I met someone at Starbucks so had the hummus/veggie snack pack and then we ate out for breakfast on Sunday.  I had eggs, toast and fresh fruit.  Those seemed like the best choices.

Weekly Progress

Let’s get to the important thing.  Did I lose weight?  It is an emphatic yes.  I lost 4.4 pounds for my first week.  That brings my total weight loss for this journey back t0 -25.8.

Next week I’ll add measurements into the results report so we have another way to measure progress other than the scale.

Stay tuned for updates right here every week.  I’ll be posting photos throughout the week on Twitter and Instagram. If you’re interested in joining me you can join Nutrisystem online or by calling (800) 321-THIN.

Disclosure: Nutrisystem is providing me with the meal plan in exchange for blogging about my journey with no other compensation.  All opinions expressed are 100% mine.

Way to go! You are doing amazing. I am glad you found an eating plan you like and are comfortable with, that’s such a big part of being consistent.

Sher, I hate cooking and although I’m cooking a little (veggies, eggs, etc.) it’s not the same as planning dinners seven days a week. Nutrisystem is a good way to eat healthy while losing weight for those of us who want convenience.

What a great week! That’s a nice jumpstart to the new program.

Hi Kitty, it was motivating to keep going. That and a box of food, LOL!

4.4 pounds in one week is nothing to sneeze at!

It sounds like you might be onto something. I hope that it continues!..

Thanks, Jefferson. I was pretty surprised and expect smaller losses from now on.
