Norwegian Epic: Travel Home and Last Thoughts

KayLynn · May 14, 2024 · Leave a Comment

Today I will make the final trek to my home after a wonderful cruise.  My alarm went off at 6:15 and I got up for some in-room coffee.

I loved that they had real mugs.

Hotel

I forgot to mention the hotel information.  I’m staying at the Hyatt Place Orlando Airport which I booked using Chase points.

After a shower, I was awake and refreshed enough to go down for breakfast.

They also had hard-boiled eggs and scrambled egg whites to make an egg taco with tortillas, shredded cheese and salsa.

Before checking out I took a few photos of the room.

The couch was comfy for the little bit I used it.  The other side of the room had the coffee area, desk and TV.

It was nice to have a separate bedroom area.

After finishing up my packing I went downstairs to check out and wait for the shuttle.

Shuttles

The hotel shuttle lef the hotel at about 8:05.  I’d had a reminder message earlier this morning about where and when to meet.

Here’s the pickup spot.

The shuttle came exactly at 8:55 and only two of us got on at this terminal. The stop at terminal A picked up a few more passengers and we were off for Daytona Beach.

Steve was waiting when we arrived around 10:30 am. It’s always good to be home!

Last Thoughts

After three cruises on Norwegian Epic, I’m ready for another ship!  Having said that Steve and I are sailing the Norwegian Escape real soon.

Otherwise, the ship was in great shape and I enjoyed the cruise entertainment, restaurants, and itinerary.  I was impressed with how well the air arrangements went.  C and A were even given first class for one leg in their arrangements.

The best part was being with family and it’s truly precious!
