Liberty of the Seas: Sea Day 2

KayLynn · March 26, 2022 · Leave a Comment

Got up around 6 am and found some of my group at Café Promenade having coffee to start this sea day off.  I joined them and eventually all made it but not at same time. 😉

Day at Sea

We decided to have breakfast in the Windjammer when it opened at 7 am. They have a wide selection I went with ham & cheese omelet, bacon, hash brown and avocado toast.

Then I headed to the solarium and found a comfortable chair for reading the book club pick for next week.

Turns out I read this book a couple of years ago.  At lunch time I met Sister T and brother E at the main dining room. Sister M is having pizza (she said it was a good lunch).

I started with the baby spinach salad.

The others had that terrific cream of mushroom soup. I had steak for my entrée with regular fries.

Sister T had same (with original fries) and E had shepherd’s pie.  E and I had maple honey pie for dessert while Sister T had the panna cotta.

We all left very happy with our meals.

I decided to go back to the solarium in my swimsuit this time and enjoyed the pool (when it wasn’t too crowded) and the jacuzzi (had it to myself).

Before I knew it was time to leave and get ready for the evening.

Sea Day Evening

We picked Johnny Rockets for dinner tonight.  When we got there at 5:30 or so there was only one table occupied inside and out! It did get a bit busier before we left.

All of us ordered sodas (I had chocolate Mr Pibb).

We got our fries and onion rings.

All that had fries said they were undercooked. Then the main items arrived.  Two had original burgers with variations, sister T had a chicken club sandwich and I had the tuna melt.

Sister T’s chicken was too tough so she asked to see the dining manager who apologized. The rest of our meal was good.

We then had our sundaes for dessert (3 chocolate and 1 strawberry).

When we got our bills, they’d been zeroed out which was unexpected yet the customer service response was very much appreciated. He said we can pay when we come back and have a good experience.

I decided to skip the show tonight and finish reading a kindle book I’ve been working on since my Horizon cruise. We’re going ashore tomorrow!
