Liberty of the Seas: Sea Day 1

KayLynn · March 25, 2022 · Leave a Comment

Got a great night’s sleep of nine hours.  Woo hoo!  Started off this sea day by going to the Lido deck and found Sister T in the smoking area. We headed to promenade café for coffee.

Morning at Sea

They are serving all drinks onboard and you have to get a fresh cup each refill. So different than how Carnival is handling it. Also the buffet yesterday was all served except for single serving things like pudding cups.

We’re meeting for breakfast at 8 am.

We had a window table in the back of deck 3. I had the market vegetable bowl with a side of bacon.

The bowl was missing the potatoes so not as good as I expected. Had croissant to go with it.

Afterwards we went separate ways. I went to the solarium pool where at one point I was the only one in the pool. Then had a bloody Mary which was bloody expensive!

I left before lunchtime to clean up.

Afternoon at Sea

We all met for lunch at the Windjammer and all four of us had the roast beef sandwiches.

I had fries with mine (and a egg salad sandwich). This was followed by coconut custard tart and coconut cookies.

Then it was time for a nap. That pretty much took care of the afternoon. After getting ready for dinner, I had a pre-dinner cocktail at the R bar which is a vaccinated only venue. The drink of the day was Royal blue spritz.

It was okay but I wouldn’t order it again.

Evening at Sea

Tonight was “formal” night and it was a good menu.

I started with pumpkin soup.

It was so good! Kenger remembered the two baskets of bread for us and they were empty before dinner was over.  Here’s our wait team and table sign.

Then had shrimp cocktail.

We waited a while for the entrees but they eventually arrived.

I had beef tenderloin medium rare and it was so good.

The dessert menu had a few good choices.

was grand mariner soufflé which was a bit overcooked but still good.

Sister M tried the apple blossom for the first time and really liked it.  The ice cream was quite melted by the time she got it.

I went to the 8 pm show and saw Brian Cheatham.

It was entertaining but a little too Vegas like for me. Then found this guy in the cabin hogging the TV.

Here is today’s cruise compass.  Click for the full PDF.
