Harmony of the Seas: Debarkation

KayLynn · July 18, 2023 · Leave a Comment

Today’s the day we have to leave the beautiful Harmony of the Seas. The week went by so fast.

Disembarkation Breakfast

We woke at 3;45 am and went back to sleep. Next time we looked it was 5 am so we got up for the day. Sister M was going to grab a cup of coffee and head up to 15 smoking area. I left right after for coffee and typing notes.

I also took a screen shot of my final bill.  Not bad for a week!

The Cafe Promenade is much busier than usual at this time of day.  The coffee was hot and I had a couple of cups before heading to my room to get ready to meet my sisters for main dining room breakfast. As I left I noticed the lineup was already happening for self-debark over an hour away.

The restaurant opened a couple of minutes before 6:30.  We had more coffee and ordered . I had one last chocolate croissant — back to Weight Watchers tomorrow!

My eggs benedict were cold and the eggs not quite cooked enough.

The hash browns was much warmer and tasty but next time I’ll have to be more specific to get two.

Disembarkation Experience

We went to the main show room on deck 5 to wait since that’s the level we’ll walk off of.  It was about an hour wait but at least they had a video about building the Freedom of the Seas to keep us entertained.  Right before 9 am we were called off.  It was very easy to find our luggage this time at the very back wall.  I had tag 63 and they have tag 65 for the last airport transfer group.  That was the last number given.

The only people left in the theater were the back to back passengers. I was surprised the facial recognition was before we got luggage but I passed, found my bag and headed to the rental car shuttle pick up area.  Signage was great!

Unfortunately budget had a line and only uses passenger vans so I got the last seat on the third shuttle that came.  Then it was an hour wait in line at Budget.  Ugh!  Once I got my car it was a smooth trip to our Airbnb in Ormond Beach.  I love living in Florida!

Here is the disembarkation instructions.  Click the image for the full PDF.
